The walk around Olgin Island from the 2nd lock is designed for 1 hour.

  Holguin Island is located near Koncha-Zaspa (Zhukov Island). According to legend, the castle of Princess Olga was located here.

  Coming out of the yacht club, passes the Starik Bay between Zhukov Island and Vodnikov, and downstream, bypassing the Sand Quarry at the tip of Olginsky Island, approaches Olgin Island

Description of the resting place

  Holguin Island is the second most popular place (after Velikiy Island) for recreation on almost all types of yachts and boats, as well as small motor ships. 

  Often the most beautiful vacation spots are occupied by yachting tourists, fishermen on boats, scouts who train to survive in non-urban settings.

   Representatives of European and Asian flora and fauna coexist here in an amazing way. In the reserve, which has become part of the regional landscape park "Dnieper Islands", scientists have discovered many rare plants, insects and birds.

  Here you can find rare snow-white water lilies, medicinal herbs, otter and ermine. The decoration of the reserve is a colony of herons.

Route "Koncha Zaspa - Vezeniya Island"

  Leaving the yacht club, the Starik Bay passes between Zhukov Island and Vodnikov Island, and downstream, bends around the Sand Quarry on the southern tip of Olginsky Island, bypasses Olgin Island and sticks to Vesenia Island.

Description of the resting place

  "Vezeniya Island" is not an island in the vastness of the Dnieper, but a recreation area on the mainland in a beautiful picturesque corner on the bank, 26 km from Kiev towards Ukrainka. You can come here with a huge motor ship and perfectly celebrate a corporate party, or you can also take a small yacht and spend time comfortably in a comfortable, but far from civilization place. At the disposal of the guests of the base: a beach and shady green areas, sports grounds and gazebos, a restaurant and a real Russian bath with access to the Dnieper.

• return of the vessel from Ukrainka to the yacht club - 4.5 hours
• the time of a possible stay on the islands is calculated according to the sailing tariff of the yacht

• return of the vessel from the city of Ukrainka to the base - 3.5 hours

  The total length of the route и"Koncha Zaspa - Ukrainka city" - is about 27 km. On a one-way sail, it can be overcome in an average of 5-6 hours.

Route "Koncha Zaspa - Ukrainka city"

  Leaving the yacht club, it passes through the Starik Bay between Vodnikov Island and Zhukov Island, then, downstream, bends around the Sand Quarry and past Olgin Island goes to a series of wild islands stretching along the Dnieper up to Ukrainka.

Description of the turning point

  Ukrainka (907 hectares) is a city of power engineers, first mentioned at the beginning of the 19th century, located on the right bank of the Kanev reservoir not far from ancient Tripoli. Now it is a tourist town and is famous for its historical status, being adjacent to the archaeological museum of Trypillian culture and Devich Gora - the highest point of the city. Youth and rock festivals are regularly held in the city, and sailing regattas are held on the Dnieper.

  In the 60s, the Trypillian thermal power plant was built here, which changed the status of Ukrainka as a city and the surrounding area, since it changed the course of the Stugna River.
