Route “Koncha Zaspa - Kozachy Island”

  Coming out of the yacht club, passes the Starik Bay between Zhukov Island and Vodnikov, and downstream, bypassing the Sand Quarry at the tip of Olginsky Island, turns up the Dnieper and along the Promezhtochny Island it sticks to Kozachy Island.

Description of the resting place

  Kozachy Island covers an area of ​​154 hectares. The natural floodplain ecosystem is characterized by unique natural elements. Representatives of the fauna that are included in the Red Book of Ukraine grow here.

  The island has been known since time immemorial and is associated with the Kozachy Island, who glanced at their ships - "seagulls". In 1943, the island became the site of bloody battles of the Second World War, where the dead soldiers were later reburied in a mass grave.
