Route "Obolon - Holguin Island"

  We leave the yacht club in Obolon and go downstream, leaving Pivnichny Island and Muromets Island on the left and Natalka Park on the right. Then we pass under the Northern and Petrovsky Railway Bridges, go along Rybalsky and Trukhanov Islands, reach the Post Square and continue the route under the Pedestrian Bridge, watching the Kyiv funicular, the Arch of Friendship of Peoples, Mariinsky Park and Palace, Kyiv-Pechersk - the founders of Kyiv to the brothers Kia, Shchek, Horiv and their sister Lybeda. On the left is the Venetian Island (Hydropark). We pass under the bridges of Paton and Darnytsky, pass the island of the Great South, and behind the South Bridge we continue to move along the gentle banks of the Dnieper past the island of Vodniki to the island of Olzhyn.

Description of the resting place

   Holguín is surrounded by picturesque dense vegetation with a muddy bottom and a rapid current around it. Holguín is a great place to get away from civilization and relax with friends or work colleagues. Often the most beautiful vacation spots are occupied by yachting tourists, fishermen on boats, scouts who train to survive in non-urban settings.

  In the reserve, which has become part of the regional landscape park "Dnieper Islands", scientists have discovered many rare plants, insects and birds.

  Here you can find rare snow-white water lilies, medicinal herbs, otter and ermine. The decoration of the reserve is a colony of herons.
